NBA Picks of the Day (8/21)

The NBA Playoffs are here, and I’m going to give my picks for each playoff game today. If you’re smart, unlike me, you should take these picks straight up. Or, if you parlay like I love to do, all I can say is parlay and pray.

Raptors ML (-610) over Brooklyn

I really don’t have to get into detail with this pick. The Nets will be without Joe Harris for the next two games at least, and that only makes things worse for Brooklyn. Toronto has this series in the bag, and the only question is how much they’ll win by in game three. It’s easier just to take the money line for this game.

Nuggets -1 -110 over Utah

Even with the return of Mike Conley, I still believe Denver will get a win in game three against Utah. The Nuggets looked like hot garbage in game two compared to game one, and that’s why I believe they’ll have a bounce-back game. Game two was a wake-up call for Denver, and they need to come out stronger in game three. Also, Denver should play Bol Bol more. Just a thought.

Celtics -6 -110 over Philadelphia

After the way Boston beat down Philly in game two, I think the Celtics are ready to wrap this series up. They don’t want to play more than four games against the 76ers. The fact of the matter is they shouldn’t have to. When Tobias Harris and Al Horford are providing close to nothing for Philadelphia, it’s hard for them to beat a Celtics team with Jayson Tatum playing the way he has been. The Celtics are 14-5 ATS in their last 19 games and I expect them to cover the spread once again tonight.

Clippers ML (-205) over Dallas

This series is starting to get interesting. It’s not crazy to think that the Mavs would be up 2-0 in the series if Kristaps Porzingis didn’t get ejected in game one. Luka Doncic is putting up historic numbers and I don’t think he’s going to slow down any time soon. That being said, the Clippers need to wake up, similar to Denver. The Clippers are championship contenders for a reason. Paul George needs to have a statement game tonight and help lead the Clippers to a game three victory.

Take these picks with caution. If you bet, good luck and be smart. If you decide to parlay a few of these games, all I can say is parlay and pray.
