The NBA Playoffs are here, and I’m going to give my picks for each playoff game today. If you’re smart, unlike me, you should take these picks straight up. Or, if you parlay like I love to do, all I can say is parlay and pray.
Nuggets ML (-195) over Utah
The Denver Nuggets will have the upper hand over the Utah Jazz for the first few games of the series. The Jazz will be without Mike Conley for a few games and Ed Davis for the entire series. The Nuggets, in my opinion, are one of the best teams in the league when it comes to depth. From the starters to the end of the bench, they have options everywhere. I expect Denver to come out of game one with a win and will control the rest of the series.
Nets +10 -100 over Toronto
I have the utmost confidence that the Toronto Raptors will win game one and sweep the Brooklyn Nets in the first round. I just believe that the Nets will keep things interesting. They’ve beaten the Los Angeles Clippers and Milwaukee Bucks during their time in the bubble and only lost to Portland by one point in a win-or-go-home game for the Trail Blazers. They can keep it close by knocking down their shots and with Caris LeVert doing his thing, and that’s why I’m going with the Nets spread in game one.
Celtics ML (-260) over Philadelphia
I would have taken the spread for Boston here, but I have a feeling Philly is going to sneak a game from Boston in this series. I’m not sure if it’ll be game one, two, three, or four, but it’ll happen. Boston will either blow Philly out, or it’ll be a nailbiter. I’m playing it safe and going with the Celtics money line for game one.
Clippers -6 -110 over Dallas
If I were you, I’d buy points for this one. I’m a cautious bettor, and this game will be too close to comfort for me. I believe Dallas will win a handful of games against the Clippers, but I see LA leaving game one with a win. These games could be some high-scoring matchups, but the Clippers could also lock the Mavs down. Regardless, I’m taking the Clippers in game one.
Take these picks with caution. If you bet, good luck and be smart. If you decide to parlay a few of these games, all I can say is parlay and pray.
