After going 6-1 yesterday and hitting my bonus player prop bet, I figured I’d make another article with my picks for the NBA games that are going on today. I’m going to give my picks for each game today and give one player prop bet that I absolutely love. If you’re smart, unlike me, you should take these picks straight up. Or, if you parlay like I love to do, all I can say is parlay and pray.
Rockets ML (-295) over Indiana
Although Houston was my only loss yesterday, I’m rolling with them against today against the Pacers. Indiana is one of the NBA’s hottest teams but will be without TJ Warren. James Harden will be back in the lineup for Houston, and as of right now, Russell Westbrook (out) is the only player on the injury report for Houston. And with Eric Gordon back in the lineup for Houston, I’m going with the Rockets to win this one.
Raptors -6 -110 over Philadelphia
The Toronto Raptors have locked up the two seed in the Eastern Conference while the Philadelphia 76ers are still fighting for seeding. Currently sitting as the sixth seed, Philly is pretty banged up. Al Horford and Tobias Harris are both listed as day-to-day, while only Serge Ibaka and OG Anunoby are questionable for Toronto. The Raptors are 5-1 in the bubble and will be looking to keep the momentum going as they head into the playoffs. Maybe I’d buy a few points here to be safe, but I think Toronto should cover this game.
Heat/Thunder U223 -110
Miami and Oklahoma City are two of the slowest paced teams in the NBA. This will be a defensive matchup as both teams are still fighting for playoff seeding. The Thunder can finish as high as the fourth seed and as low as the sixth seed, while Miami can finish as the fourth or fifth seed. In their only matchup this season, Miami beat OKC 115-108, a total of 223 points. Kendrick Nunn is out for Miami, which means Goran Dragic will most likely get the nod to start. For OKC, only Steven Adams and Nerlens Noel are listed as questionable. I don’t expect a lot of high scoring this game, so I’d roll with the under tonight.
Clippers/Nuggets O229 -115
The Denver Nuggets have hit the over in their last six games, while the Los Angeles Clippers have hit the over in 4 of their last 5 games. Both these teams are fighting to see who will be the second and third seeds in the Western Conference, so this game has some meaning to it. Patrick Beverley, Landry Shamet, and Montrezl Harrell are all out for the Clippers, while Will Barton and Gary Harris are out for the Nuggets. Michael Porter Jr. has been on a tear in the bubble and will look to keep it going against LA. I expect this to be a high scoring game, and either team can walk out with the win tonight.
Bonus Player Prop: Jamal Murray O15.5 points -115
Jamal Murray is officially back and healthy for the Denver Nuggets. He has two games under his belt, where he finished 23 and 14 points, respectively. With Pat Beverley out for the Clippers, I expect Murray to have himself plenty of opportunities to score in what I think will be a high scoring matchup. Especially if the game stays close, Murray will have plenty of playing time as well to score over 15 points tonight.
Take these picks with caution. If you bet, good luck and be smart. If you decide to parlay a few of these games, all I can say is parlay and pray.
